This week, watch a sunset.

It seems that no matter what type of day you’ve had, a sunset can make everything feel okay. It gives us time to reflect on our day and is an artistic start to the hopes for tomorrow. Each sunset is different and unique, but all are special. So this week, watch a sunset, embrace the beauty, and remember you are special too.

Spring in Minnesota means flowers blooming, leaves sprouting, and the overall green of plants coming back to life after a long, cold winter. With anticipation, my family plans which fruits and vegetables we’ll grow in our garden. When the days get longer and the sun shines more, I’m filled with excitement for what the summer will bring—long days at the lake, bike rides to our favorite restaurants, fires with neighbors, and endless fun with family and friends.

Spring means renewal and growth. It is the perfect season to reconnect with friends you haven’t seen in awhile. This week, make dinner plans with friends, call your loved ones, and enjoy the sun-filled days (and the rainy ones, too).

One of my favorite things is filling our house and yard with friends for a barbecue on a summer night. This week, my goal is to plan some. I challenge you to make plans with friends and enjoy the flowers this week. Celebrate that you are loved and celebrate those you love. After all, love makes the world go round—and who doesn’t love a good dinner with friends?
